About Ardmore

Ardmore is a neighbourhood located in North Saanich, British Columbia.

It is a suburb of the city of Victoria, which lies to the south. Downtown Victoria is located about 28 road kilometres away, around a 30 minute drive.

Ardmore is located in western North Saanich and is nestled along the Saanich Inlet to the north and west. To the east and south, the neighbourhood is bordered by the Airport and Coles Bay neighbourhood. At the east end of Ardmore runs West Saanich Road which traverses into North Saanich all the way to Land’s End Road at the north end of the Saanich Peninsula. Ardmore Road is another important artery but is quite small. The road surrounds most of the neighbourhood and breaks off onto even smaller neighbourhood throughfares.

Ardmore Real Estate

The Ardmore real estate market benefits greatly from its excellent location situated along the Saanich Inlet with many waterfront homes in the area that feature small docks and beach access. Homes are also situated on beautiful tree-lined streets that are secluded from major arteries. They are also situated on large parcels of land that include exceptional views of the Saanich Inlet and Mill Bay across the water. With this, single family residential in Ardmore is generally quite expensive in comparison to the rest of the district which is predominantly rural and inland.

Things To Do In Ardmore

Ardmore features a variety of amenities and is beautifully set along the Saanich Inlet!

The Ardmore Golf Course is a popular amenity in the neighbourhood that includes an outdoor patio and clubhouse. This course was recently purchased by the Pauquachin First Nation who became the rightful owners in early 2020. This was a large shakeup in the community considering the previous owners had owned and operated the course since 1946. The course is also known for its 1,100-year-old Douglas Fir Tree on the third green.

Ardmore also features a number of beautiful beaches and lookout points including Ardmore Drive Beach which is frequented by SCUBA divers, kayakers, dog walkers and hikers.

Living in Ardmore also means you’re super close to the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal as well as the Victoria International Airport. The Town of Sidney is also in proximity on the other side of the Peninsula.
